President Donald Trump made the big decision to stay away from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He instead held a rally in Pennsylvania to meet with his fans and supporters. He never has been one to gloat, but this might be a good a time as any. The reason for not going, he said, was because he felt that the media had treated him unfairly with their stories. We all know how biased the mainstream media is against Trump. They are all liberal outlets trying to push their agenda.
But someone was not falling for it. Michelle Malkin told Fox News that Trump made the right choice by staying away from the dinner.
“I thought that what Trump did, in leaving the swamp and doing that rally last night, was absolutely brilliant,” she explained. She went on to explain how the comedian’s jokes were “vile and unfunny” and that they should have just stuck to giving out the awards. But no, the liberals will always find a way to attack President Donald Trump.
“This is an annual gathering of the news fakers and Hollywood America haters and Trump bashers, who get together to convince themselves that they are absolutely indispensable to the American democracy and our constitutional republic,” she went on to say. “And they have become more diminished and more and more irrelevant and more exposed than ever thanks to the Trump White House and the Trump administration and Trump campaign.”
President Trump obviously made this decision for a reason. He didn’t just skip it because he can. The media has been horrible to Trump and his entire family. Unless they stop their hate messages towards him, there will not be a change next year either.
Do you think President Donald Trump made the right choice in skipping the dinner?
