A top editor at Vogue praised first lady Melania Trump for her “impeccable” manners.
“When I helped her with her wedding trousseau, it was an assignment from Vogue and I flew with Melania,” contributing editor and former editor-at-large André Leon Talley told a Washington Post fashion critic, according to CNN.
“She went to all the great couture houses, and the great thing about Melania is her manners. She was very impressive that the couture houses were very impressed that she was not the arrogant Mrs. Trump … She was so impeccable in her manners, in the way she spoke to people and she was so charming.”
Talley said he had fallen out of touch with the former model after she married Donald Trump.
Trump was a quiet presence during her husband’s presidential campaign, making few appearances. She has continued to play a quiet role as the first lady, remaining in New York City. She plans to move to the White House full time with her son, Barron, once he finishes his school year.
